About Fairyland Bears
I have been making collectors bears since 1999 when I came across a lovely bear shop (Withey Bears as was) in Lyme Regis whilst on holiday with my son. I bought a pattern and made the bear, I was hooked. I went and bought mohair and joints etc and started designing my own patterns and bears. Rikey the Owner of Withey Bears offered to sell the bears for me in the co-operative and they were a great success.
I then moved to St. Ives in 2001 and was lucky enough to be offered a unit in The Sloop Craft Market in the centre of St Ives just behind the Sloop Pub and I have been there ever since. Why not come and visit me there. I am still making all kinds of different bears and dragons in various mohair’s and fabric’s most of which are hand-dyed and all of them are one of a kind.
I am always creating new bears and coming up with new ideas for my collection and it is difficult to keep up with the photographs and show everything here. If you would like to contact me and tell me of your collecting preferences and interests I will gladly send you any appropriate photos I may have.
I do try to update the website with new bears each month, but some never make to the web site so If you would like to be added to my mailing list to know when the site has been updated or when bears are available then please just drop me a line.
